Frequently Asked Questions
How are sitters chosen for jobs?
When you create your profile and create a sitting request, you input all information about your family. When matching you with a sitter, our software takes all of your information in to account and matches you with the highest qualified sitter available! For example, if you have a newborn or child with special needs, you will only be matched with sitters with that specific type of experience.
Can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time by emailing taylor@truesittersctx.com. You will have access to your membership through the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not issue refunds.
What is your cancellation policy for sitting jobs?
You can cancel a sitting job that has been accepted by a sitter up to 12 hours before the start time of the job. If you cancel within the 12 hour period, there will be a $30 cancellation fee.
How do I pay my sitter?
At the end of the sitting job, you will receive an invoice with your total owed for the job on our app. This will include the hourly rate, plus any reimbursements needed (if the sitter paid for something during the session and needs to be reimbursed). You will pay this with your card on file via our app. If you do not pay the invoice within 72 hours, your card will be automatically charged.
Is my information available to all employees?
We know you have important and personal information entered in your profile. Your information is only visible to essential employees, who have signed a legal contract to keep all information confidential. Those that will have access to your information are sitters that have accepted a future job for you (after the job they no longer have access to your profile), and administrators.
Can I request an overnight sitting job?
Of course! Our sitters are fully equipped to handle overnight sitting jobs.
What information do I need to include on my profile?
You need to include all information that you think your babysitter might need. Feeding information (how to feed the kids), bedtime routines, bath information, carseat situations, things to know about children’s behavior, how to get in and out of the house (garage codes, key locations), etc. It is a lot of information, but the more information our sitters know, the better equipped they will be to care for your children!
Do you have sitters for children with disabilities?
We do have sitters that have experience with children with disabilities. If you have a child with specific care requirements or accommodations, make sure you mark the option in your profile so that you will automatically be matched with one of our experienced sitters.
Can I get a full time nanny from you agency?
Yes! We also specialize in nanny placements. If you are in the market for a nanny we may be able to help with finding a permanent placement for you! Visit our Nanny Placements tab to learn more or to get in contact with our Director of Nanny Services.
How do I contact my sitter?
Once your job is accepted, you will be able to contact your sitter via our app. Since all our sitters are contracted to work with us, you may not contact them outside of our system. Doing so may result in termination of your membership.
What happens if my request is not accepted by a sitter?
We cannot guarantee that a sitter will be available for all jobs submitted. Since we are a growing company, we ask for some patience as we get the balance of sitters to families figured out! We try our best to ensure we have availability for all sitting requests, however it is not guaranteed.
